故事题材：
《霸 王别姬——殉道者的乐章》改编自传统京剧《霸王别姬
This particular art work is inspired by the suicide note “The last song at GaiMa”, which was composed and dedicated by Xiang Yu for his concubine Yu Ji prior to the mortal combat against Liu Bang. The tragedy was ended by consecutive suicides of Yu Ji and Xiang Yu by the Wu Jiang in the result of his being stranded and defeated in this brutal battle.
Either Xiang Yu’s suicide was due to his deep love to Yu Ji or his failure in leading the troops, the choreographer would like to extend and endow the role of this martyr with a different definition of extremism. The choreography will be adapted by the traditional Chinese opera “Farewell to my Concubine”, ingeniously blending the elements of opera, martial arts, and contemporary dance, dubbed with the renowned Cello Suites with objectives of reiterating and reviving this classic Chinese literature from ancient in a contemporary forms of Arts.
